Hello Dear Friend,
What if this is not a breakdown… but an awakening?
There comes a moment in midlife when something starts to shift.
Maybe you cannot fully explain it yet
Maybe it feels like restlessness.
Maybe it feels like sadness, frustration, or longing.
Maybe you feel like you have outgrown parts of your life, but you are not fully sure what comes next.
You are still showing up.
Still working.
Still caregiving.
Still doing what needs to be done.
But deep down, something feels different.
If that sounds familiar, I want to tell you something important:
You are not broken.
You may be awakening.
That is exactly what we are diving into this week in Week 1 of The Midlife GlowGetter 8-Week Awakening Series.
Over the next 8 weeks, we are walking through 8 powerful pillars of midlife awakening:
Awakening, Identity, Healing, Body, Relationships, Power, Purpose, and Vision.
And this first pillar matters because awakening is where it all begins.
Week 1: Awakening
What is awakening?
Awakening is the moment a woman begins to see her life more clearly.
She starts noticing:
- what no longer works
- what feels heavy
- where she has been on autopilot
- where she has been putting herself last
- what she truly wants more of
Sometimes awakening is quiet.
It sounds like:
- “I can’t keep living like this.”
- “There has to be more than this.”
- “I’m tired of feeling disconnected from myself.”
- “I know something in me is changing.”
If you have been feeling that lately, please do not brush it off.
That restlessness may not be random.
That discomfort may not be something to shame.
It may be a signal.
Sometimes discomfort is not a sign that something is wrong.
Sometimes it is a sign that something is waking up.
This week’s invitation
This week, ask yourself:
- Where in my life do I feel restless right now?
- What feels heavy that I keep trying to call normal?
- What truth about my life have I been avoiding?
- What if this is not the end of me, but the beginning of me?
You do not need to fix everything right now.
This week is simply about noticing.
About honoring what is rising.
About letting yourself admit:
Something real is happening in me.

My top two Glow-up this week. One woo woo and the other more mainstream and not so woo woo.
1.) Woo Woo Glow-Up
Saffron Water Face Splashing
- Practice: Rinsing the face with chilled saffron-infused water.
- How-To: Steep 3–5 strands of Persian saffron in a cup of mineral water overnight. Splash on the face after morning cleansing.
- History: Used by Persian royalty and in Ayurvedic Kumkumadi traditions.
- Explanation: Saffron contains crocin, a powerful carotenoid that inhibits tyrosinase (the enzyme causing dark spots).
- Solves: Hyperpigmentation and dullness.
2.) More Mainstream
Daily Broad-Spectrum SPF 30+
- How-To: Apply a nickel-sized amount of mineral or chemical sunscreen to the face, neck, and chest every single morning, regardless of the weather.
- History: Developed in the mid-20th century, but only recently recognized by dermatologists as the #1 "anti-aging" tool in existence.
- Explanation: Up to 90% of visible skin aging is caused by UV radiation (photoaging), which breaks down collagen and elastin fibers.
