Hello GlowGetter!
Week 6: PowerThe Midlife GlowGetter 8-Week Awakening Series
Over the last five weeks we have talked about Awakening, Identity, Healing, Body, and Relationships. Each week has been building toward this one.
Because once a woman starts waking up… questioning who she has been… healing what she has carried… rebuilding her relationship with her body… and telling the truth about her relationships…
The next question always comes:
How do I reclaim my power?
Strength and power are not the same thing.
A lot of women have been strong for a very long time. Responsible. Dependable. The one everybody counts on. That strength is real and it matters.
But a woman can be strong and still feel stuck. Still afraid to speak. Still choosing everyone else first. Still waiting for permission she was never told she had to give herself.
That is the difference.
Strength is the ability to carry life. Power is the ability to lead it.
Most women are waiting for permission.
Permission to want more. To change. To set boundaries. To choose a bigger life. To stop overgiving.
They are waiting for the right timing. For certainty. For someone to tell them they are allowed.
But here is the shift that changes everything:
You may need to give yourself permission.
Once a woman stops waiting for the outside world to bless what she already knows inside — everything starts moving.
Self-trust is the root of power.
Every time you override yourself, trust weakens. Every time you say maybe I'm overreacting or maybe I need more proof — you move further from yourself.
Power grows when you say: I hear myself. I believe myself. I am not going to keep dismissing what I know.
Women who trust themselves more speak sooner. Choose better. Protect themselves better. Build stronger futures.
Power is also in your voice. Your standards. Your body.
It sounds less like: Sorry, this might be silly…
And more like: That doesn't work for me. I need something different. No.
Your standards reveal what you believe you deserve. And midlife is the season they rise — not because you are getting impossible, but because you are finally getting honest about what costs you too much.
Power also lives in the body. Standing taller. Dressing with intention. Walking into a room like you belong there. Not as performance. As embodiment.
Power grows when you stop negotiating with what you already know.
You know what is not working. You know what hurts. You know what needs to change.
And then you talk yourself out of it.
Maybe it's not that bad. Maybe later. Maybe I'm overreacting.
That negotiation is where power leaks.
Power begins when you say: I know enough to stop pretending I don't know.
This week's invitation.
Ask yourself:
- Where do I feel most powerful right now?
- Where am I still giving my power away?
- Where am I waiting for permission?
- What would self-trust look like for me right now?
You do not need to become fearless this week. You just need to notice.
Because sometimes power begins with one quiet decision:
I am done abandoning what I know. I am ready to lead myself differently now.

My Two Glow-Ups This Week
My top two Glow-up this week. One woo woo and the other more mainstream and not so woo woo.
Glow-Up - Woo Woo
Magnesium "Brine" Foot Soaks
- Practice: High-saturation magnesium chloride soaks.
- How-To: Use 2 cups of Magnesium Chloride flakes (more potent than Epsom salt) in just enough water to cover feet.
- History: Ancient Zechstein seabed mineral therapy.
- Explanation: Transdermal absorption bypasses the digestive tract, delivering magnesium directly to cramped muscles.
- Solves: Leg cramps, restless leg syndrome, and stiff joints.
Glow-Up - More Main Stream
- The "Silk Friction" Reduction
- How-To: Sleep on a 100% Mulberry silk pillowcase rather than cotton.
- History: A Hollywood starlet secret for decades to preserve expensive hairstyles.
- Explanation: Silk allows the skin and hair to "glide" rather than snag, preventing mechanical stress and "sleep wrinkles."
- Solves: Morning "pillow face" lines and hair breakage.
