5 More Ways to Move Before 8AM & My Money Journey - The Midlife GlowGetter Newslesster with Jax

Hello To You,

How to Get Movement in Before 8AM, Part 2

This weeks Newsletter is still a continuation from last week, 5 more tips to get movement in before 8AM. These tips are real and useful and can be applied to anyone who has the desire to exercise before they get the day started. You can listen to this weeks Podcast episode for all 12 tips and last week there were 13 others.

Another thing I wanted to mention here was that many of you might be aware I am on a money and financial improvement journey besides a wellness journey. Back in 2022 I got a second remote part-time job to help me payoff over $30K in debt. Since then I have not been working consistently to save money for my dream to purchase short-term vacation rentral properties. I have been over spending on stuff I don't really need. So I have been reading some financial books and decided to keep a money diary for the month of March. I am tracking every penny spent on my notes app on my phone daily. I got this idea from the Financial Feminist book that I have been reading (terrific book by the way). I track daily what I bought, how much it was, my mindset when I purchased it and if it brought me true joy once received. I am going to be leaning into Value Spending and Value Saving. Spending on what I actually value and saving for what I value. I am deciding on my top 3-4 values in my life now and that is where I will directing my spending and saving efforts and as well as time and energy. I will keep you posted on my values and my journey and growth, and share things I learn along the way.

So, I hope you are having a fantastic week and I will reach out again soon.

Love,

Jax

5 Ways to Make Exercising Before 8AM Easier

1) Use caffeine with a plan

Caffeine can help. But don’t let it replace water.

Try this simple order:

water → bathroom → coffee

When you do it the same way every day, your body starts to expect it.

2) Build a “grab-and-go” workout station

Put your workout stuff in one place:

• headphones

• keys

• water bottle

• gym bag

• resistance band

• deodorant

Less searching = less excuses.

3) Have an at-home workout option for low-energy days

Some mornings, you won’t want to drive to the gym. That’s real life.

So create a backup plan at home:

• 10-minute walk

• short YouTube workout

• simple strength routine

A backup plan protects your consistency.

4) Set a “minimum workout” that always counts

This is huge.

Choose a minimum workout that you can do even on a tough day:

• 10 minutes walking

• 3 strength moves

• one mile

• 15 minutes stretching

Minimums keep you in the game.

5) Make a playlist that starts strong

Music changes your mood fast.

Make a playlist where the first song makes you feel like, “Okay… I can do this.”

Or use a podcast or audiobook if that feels better

The point is: give your brain something enjoyable right away.
